To begin Adaware must be installed click here for instructions on how to install the software
To start the application go to Start -> All Programs -> Lavasoft Adaware Se Personal

1. Update the definitions
   • Depending on when the installer was created you may see a screen that looks like the one below
     
     If so, click OK.
   • Otherwise you will need to "Check for Updates" within the program
     
   • Click on"Connect" to begin the update process.
     
   • If an update is found, You will be asked to install it - Say "OK"
2. Scan for problems
   • Click on Start to begin
     
   • Next you tell Adaware what type of Scan to perform then press "Next"
     
3. Allow the Scan to run until Completion
   • Upon Completion you will recieve a report as to what was found. If a problem was found a "red bug" will falsh on your screen.
     Clcik Next to continue.
     
4. Select the Problems to Remove
   • Right Click on a checkbox and Select "Select all problems"
   • Click next to begin Quarantining the problems
     
   • Conirm that you want to remove the selected items by pressing OK
     
5. Follow any additional instructions asked by the program
   • There may be an item that will require a restart to remove. Just follow the on screen instructions to complete the removal.
   • If a machine has more that 40 items found, a second scan may be required.
